Furniture that are too large to be placed inside boxes can be covered with plastic bags. It is very time and money saving. This can also provide necessary protection for your furniture. There are a number of ways to pack using plastic bags. Gone are the days when you wrap piece by piece with news paper. Of course, you will also need the trusty markers, packaging tapes, and label stickers.
For furniture that are assembled, begin disassembling it and put each part on plastic bags. Don't forget to label what kind of part it is. For screws and other small trinkets, secure a small plastic bag and label if which furniture does it belong. Separate if necessary. Next is to tape the sides or tips of the plastic bag. Avoid to tape on the delicate parts for they have a tendency to break once the tape is removed.
Remove the pillow cases on throw pillows and pillows. Put them in a separate plastic bag. Make sure dirt can't go in so that you won't have to wash them again when you unpack. Bubble wrap or thick plastic bags can be used in chairs and sofas or even tables. Cover the arms and legs of the furnitures so they won't scratch anything and get scratched.
Breakable things and furniture like cupboards and glass plates should be wrapping in a bubble wrap before putting in a plastic bags. Store them in tight containers to keep them from moving. Bubble wrap, which is very available in hard wares are very useful in appliances where you don't want to see any scratch. Mirrors should also be covered in bubble wrap and plastic bag. Mark "FRAGILE" so that others will be conscious on what is inside.
Use large plastic bags on desks and dressers. Of course, don't forget the bubble wrap. Tie or tape them tightly still be careful on the delicate parts.
Using plastic bags is definitely an easy way to pack all of your belongings when you move. There would be no more hassles wrapping each piece in papers and worrying about dusts and damages. Never forget to be careful on every thing that you will wrap. Label everything to avoid misplacing. If you don't have enough plastic bags and bubble wraps at home, search the internet or inquire at storage establishments or local hard wares.
Packing should not be considered very dreadful. There are a lot of ways to pack without hassles and using plastic bags is one of the smartest ways. Be more excited and less worried. Pack using plastic bags. Pack securely. Pack lightly.
