Guests - Guests make the birthday party whether it is just the household or you have invited the child's entire class. People are the ones to determine whether or not something is fun and the same people are the ones to make it fun. Be selective about your guests and include upbeat people on the guest list. But, before you can have guests, you need invitations.
Invitations - Invitations can be whatever you want them to be. If you want to call people and invite them to your child's birthday party, consider the phone call the invitation. You might even email people an invitation or just a message to say when the birthday party is and where. If you are inviting, you are giving an invitation.
An invitation does not need to be on a card that matches the birthday party décor. You do not even need birthday decorations. A simple phone call will get the same response as a card.
Flexibility - The most valuable thing you can possess when it comes to having any type of party is flexibility. Something is always going to happen that is unexpected and as long as you are flexible, you can handle it smoothly for the perfect birthday party.
Cake or Cupcakes - A must for the perfect birthday party is cake or cupcakes with a candle for the birthday boy or girl to blow out. The cake or cupcakes do not have to match anything and they do not even need to have any decoration on them. As long as you have a cake or cupcakes with icing, what else do you need for a perfect birthday party?
The "Happy Birthday" Song - Another must for a perfect birthday party is everyone saying the "Happy Birthday" song. Even if the song is sung off key and no one is together, a birthday party is not complete without the birthday song.
Location - A birthday party has to be held somewhere. It really does not matter where the birthday party is as long as there are people, cake, and a birthday song. If something happens that your location does not work out, keep your temper in check and be flexible. Any location will work.
Using these tips will help you have the perfect birthday party. A party is all about fun. No one really cares about the little things. You do not need to purchase decorative invitations, decorations, or store bought cakes. All you need is fun for a perfect birthday party.

Great tips! I'm not a parent but have been balking at the costs of birthday parties on the program "My Super Sweet 16".. my thought was "Wow, if that's how much it costs for a child's birthday party, I'm never having one!
without spending a fortune is so important with this recession and the money crunch. My son is about to have his 11th. yikes! I feel old now hehe.
Great work here Jane.
Sounds like fun! Great job!
