I had guppies as a child but I didn't know they ate their babies. So when mine had babies, I didn't take her out of the bowl like I should have. I was so upset when I discovered the babies were all gone. I cried so hard that my mom called the store to find out what could have happened. That's when I learned the horrible truth. I never could deal with fish after that. It was traumatic for a five year old.
