1. Get lots of rest the night before.
- You want to be able to keep up with the munchkins during the whole visit!
2. Prepare a list of activities to do during the weekend.
- Make sure your list allows for other thing mixed in and don't be upset if it doesn't go as planned, kids are not ones to be on schedules when it is "fun play time".
3. Have a special treat waiting for them "with parents permission" so their time spent with you is special to them.
4. Watch a movie.
- Pick a movie that would interest your grandkids and watch it with them.
5. Kids love to do crafts, set up a craft making area along with a couple of crafts for them to do with you.
-www.nickjr.com has a lot of crafts for kids that are easy and fun to make.
6. Try a theme mini party.
- A character theme such as your grandchild's favorite cartoon character. You can also find ideas for this on nickjr.com
My sons grandmother is always prepared for a weekend visit by having a few of his favorite toys, coloring books and crayons, some of his favorite snacks and movies to watch and also a special trip planned, whether it be a walk to the store or a trip to the playground.
