Wrinkles are formed because our skin breaks down and loses two proteins which are elastin and collagen. These proteins give our skin its elasticity and youthful look, and when we lose the, our skin becomes dry and brittle. This is the reason why many products in the marked claim to have collagen and elastin in their advertisements, but the presence of these two proteins in a cream doesn't really work like the ads show you because collagen cannot be absorbed through the skin, therefore its inclusion in a topical formula is useless.
In order to have a healthier looking skill and avoid wrinkles, you can use products that encourage your body to produce more collagen and elastin. You can also prevent the formation of wrinkles by avoiding exposure to sunlight; sunburns and tanning your skin cause severe damage. Stay as much as you can indoors, and if exposure to the sun is inevitable, then wear a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen and use a good moisturizer to minimize the loss of proteins. The consumption of antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E is another effective way to combat wrinkles. There are free radicals in the environment, and when you breathe, the oxygen in your bodies create even more free radicals, which damage the cells in your body and also your skin; by consuming a healthy amount of antioxidants, your body will be protected against free radicals.
Proper hydration is also crucial. Drink at least the recommended amount of water which is two liters. Also prevent your skin from losing moisture by using a cream or moisturizer daily and after washing your face, and when you wash your face use soap with a neutral PH. Mineral oil is an ingredient commonly found in most creams because it's cheap, but natural oils are better for your skin because they don't clog your pores.
