Tips for Quickly Cleaning Your House

Eric Loveday
Cleaning your house may not be a task that you look forward to doing. However, your house will eventually need to be cleaned. There are numerous ways that you can go about cleaning your house. Everyone seems to prefer a certain method. Whether it is cleaning a room a day, cleaning the whole house in one day, or just cleaning a certain portion of your house say vacuuming one day then cleaning windows the next day. All of these methods will provide the same end result. I however have a method that seems to reduce the amount of time required to clean your house.

My method involves using only one cleaning product at a time. For example, let's start with the glass cleaner. Grab the glass cleaner and the paper towel and go around the entire house cleaning all of the glass surfaces. The move on to a disinfectant and some paper towel. No you will disinfect all areas of the the home the reqire disinfecting such as the bathroom, the kitchen counters, fridge handles, faucets, and so on. Next move on to dusting the house. I prefer a Swifter Duster, but you may use whatever you like. Dust all areas of the house before moving on to the next task. And you get the idea.

Use only one product at a time and do everything in the house that you have to using that product. Why does this save you time? You can move from one thing to the next without having to grab a different cleaning product, or a new rag. You don't have to carry several things with you around the house. You only carry the cleaning product that you are using and a rag or paper towel to use it with. Finally, if you happen to get distracted by a phone call, or visitor, you will quickly remember where you left off by seeing which product that you are using.

I prefer this method because it makes the task of cleaning your home quicker and more efficient. Efficiency is the key when you are doing any task that you do not thoroughly enjoy. Cleaning being a great example of an unenjoyable task. Get it done quickly and do it right and then the job is out of the way for awhile at least. Plus, a clean house looks good, smells good, and makes you feel good that you cleaned it.

I've used this method before and my husband laughs at me. I feel better not being trapped in a certain room until its clean. Besides, it's like going on a scavenger hunt for specific dirt!
