Before you can quit smoking, you must understand the effects of smoking on the pregnancy. The bloodstream is the only link to your child. Which in result is the only way for nutrients and oxygen to feed your baby. Nutrients and oxygen help the fetus grow into a healthy baby. As a pregnant woman, never try to quit smoking on your own. Your doctor should be notified of your smoking habits and your desire to quit.
The first step into quitting smoking when pregnant is to admit the desire to stop to protect you and your unborn child. Admitting to the addictive nature, you are one step closer in quitting. You cannot stop smoking unless you have the desire and will power to do so. You are not alone, do not be afraid to ask for help. There is always someone to lend a helping hand. This will help to reduce your cravings, and protect you from the harmful chemicals that are found in cigarettes. These places will increase your cravings to smoke. Always stay clear from these places.

These tips are not just for those women are pregnant but can help the spouse in the relationship to quit. Lean on each other for the support. The best methods to quit is to lean on each other.
