Step by step instructions for redecorating your foyer
Find your focal point of the Entrance Way. Usually it is across from door, but it can also be on the side.
Decide what nice piece of furniture you will put in this space. It can be a curio cabinet, a small end table or another piece of furniture.
Choose a decorative piece to put on the foyer. You can use a lamp or other item that may give the area a special look. Picture frames and flower arrangements are also wise choices.
Arrange the items until they are what you desire the look to be. Take your time.
Decide if you would like to have a carpet on the floor. If not make sure that the floor is cleaned well, as well as the walls.
If you do not have a cupboard in your Entrance Way, get a coat rack, but make sure that you place it behind the door.
Add some interesting wall hangings to balance out the Entrance Way
Other Tips
Do not overcrowd the Entrance Way space. Keep it free of clutter.
Make sure that proper dusting and cleaning is done on a regular basis. Keep mirrors and other things that show dust clean at all times.
Your Entrance Way can be changed as often as you like. During holidays, be sure to add decorations and other items of interest. Make it a great place for others to enter your home. Also, be sure that you like it, because that is the most important.
