1. Go to Start, find Set Program Access or Defaults in All Programs, in your Control Panel, or using the Search option.
2. Click on Change/Remove Programs on the left hand side menu to view all installed programs.
Tip: Do not click on the other menu items that will appear on the left hand side menu as you might end up deleting important Windows components.
3.1 Select Remove on any programs that you want to remove from your computer.
Tip: Look through everything that you have, and while you do this, look out for suspicious software that may be harming your computer. If you're not sure contact someone who can tell you as that may be a risk to your system.
3.2 You can also click on "Support Information" to check out what the program is if you can't tell just by the description, you can see the size of the program, how often it's used, and when it was lased used on before choosing to delete it.
Tip: Make sure not to delete any programs if you do not know which program exactly it is. Also, make sure that you will not need this program to run or open any files in the future, as reinstalling the program might be a hassle in the future.
Tip: Sometimes the Remove button will say Change as well. This means that you can change. This just means that you will have the option to repair the installation of that program. You may want to repair the program before deleting it if you're only deleting it because it doesn't work properly.
After you have removed the software that is unneeded or unwanted by you, you will have a better computer, a cleaner hard drive which will make your computer faster, and you'll also have more space empty for you to fill it with software that you actually want that you may even be able to get for free online.
