If you have a junk vehicle on your property there are several things you can do to not only get rid of the eyesore killing your grass, but also profit from it and go green by reusing and recycling.

The first thing you should do is examine it to see if it could possibly be sold for a couple hundred dollars for someone to make a demolition derby car with. Try listing it on free ad websites and local papers for a low price saying that it could make a great parts or demolition car.

There are some other obvious things you can do. For instance, take off the working parts and sell them on eBay. Tail lights and turn signals car be very profitable if you find the right person who wants to buy them. You may want to check out about how much they are worth before you do that way you won't end up with a whole bunch of worthless parts sitting in your garage.

There are also some green creative projects you can make with a junk car. The first thing you can do is remove wiring and reuse it in another project you may have instead of buying new wire.

You can make your own project flashlight/lantern or science experience out of one of the bulbs from the car, wiring and a new battery. That can be dangerous so be careful.

Another thing you can do is make a lemon powered clock from it. However removing the clock could damage it, so be careful on removing the clock. You can usually find a plan to make one of these clocks from a science book, or search for plans on the internet.

If you feel like you want to be a carpenter you can take the seats from the vehicle and turn them into furniture for you, or make that young college man in your family by giving them something to "study" in that came out of a vehicle.

The most adventurous thing you can do with a junk vehicle is take off the alternator and use it to make your own wind mill. Plans for these can be found on the internet or perhaps in your local book store. A car generator that is turned by wind can be used to charge batteries, power direct current appliances, or even light up a small outdoor shop. Making a windmill is a very challenging task though so completely look into it before you purchase any parts.

Once you have taken what you want from the vehicle it is time to get rid of it. Either remove it yourself by trailer it to a scrap yard, or sell it to someone else to do so, usually they will pay about 100 dollars for a heavy vehicle, s search your local paper for a "top dollar paid for junk vehicles.
