The solution can be for you to look for steep hills. Climbing very steep hills will help you with the fear of climbing even going over extremely narrow and high bridges over and over again. If your fear is heights then go to a skyscraper building go to the top and look out the window. Once you get use to it you want be fearful of doing again.
If you are really scared find something in your life that is very special or a song that makes you feel empowered. On the day to rock climb be sure of yourself and know that you can do it. You can't think of what could happen, but what you are going to make happen. Focus on the task and not what could happen. Once you are familiar with harness and rope you will begin to enjoy yourself. The very first or second time my feel intimidating, but afters you will see that it's really not intimidating at all. Taking your time is key the first time be easy no rushing to be done faster.
Once you try it once always try to do it often you don't want the fear of climbing to return. Climbing builds mental strength and you will have to deal with the fear to truly get rid of it. Climbing to a point that you are comfortable with until you get the hang of it is fine, but don't get stuck there. If this is a goal that you really want to complete you have to have motivation.Once you realize what to expect from rock climbing it will become very easy and fun. If you can just remember to stay focus, but don't over focus and be more relax it will become very easy and very fun and enjoyable.
