Even during a bad economy there is a right time and wrong time to sell a home for the best price in real estate. Selling a house is a monumental task. Sellers usually let the seasons decide when to place their home up for sale. But does this strategy really work? The most popular times to sell a house, according to statistics is in the spring and summer. This is when families are really interested in buying a home to settle in before the fall and and vacation is over and it is time to send the kids back to school. Of course, they want to settle into their new home and start their new life in a new community, but is this really the right time for the seller to sell their house even if there are more buyers on the market during the spring to summer seasons? Well, one belief is that this is the worst time to sell a house because competition is tough and competition escalates during a slow economy.

Just think about selling a house during a slow economy around the regular sales seasons. There is already a surplus of houses on the market. In order to draw attention to a property many opt to lower home prices. So, although this is a great time for buying a home at a bargain, it is a bad time for a home seller or investor to make a profit on their property. Indeed, lowering prices is the option many sellers use to attract interested buyers. This leads to selling a property for well below market rate. Professional real estate investors know the best time to get any home on the market is when you are more likely to receive the best price.:

When to Sell

Avoid High Peak SalesMarkets. High Peek sales are during the late spring to early fall. This is when most homes are up for sale. The weather is warm and there are more lookers. This is also the time when home sellers like to spruce up their homes and property and place them up for sale. You face a lot of competition during the warm peak season.

Sell During Off Peak Time. Experts in real estate advise their clients to sell their house when there is not enough supply to meet current demand. Typically, this is during the late fall and winter. Many sellers typically do not want to place their home on the market during the off peak time which occurs late fall to winter. This is during the holidays when their focus is on family and they certainly don't want to spend all that time sprucing up their home in the chilly foul weather. The competition during this time is much lower. And you are likely to attract more buyers. And make a sizable profit .
