Learning how to show your kids you love them often comes naturally as a parent. However, as natural as it may seem it can prove difficult for sure. Kids are often difficult to read, but regardless, it's important that they know you love them. Follow some of these tips and you'll be well on your way. Discipline and positive reinforcement are huge issues. No parent want to allow their kid to get away with anything they so choose, but learning how to deal with the times when you don't want them doing something is key to a successful relationship. Whenever you feel it is necessary to correct or discipline your child, make sure you do it with as many positive words as possible. Try to bottle the outburst of anger and frustration that so often come out. Your child needs to hear positive words, not negative ones. Try rewarding positive behavior, thereby reinforcing that positive behavior is better to seek than negative.

This may sound funny, but it's a lot like training a dog!

Additionally, knowing how to show you kids you love them comes down to them feeling exactly what you intend to show. This can come easier if you continually and promptly respond to either their mental, physical or emotional needs. If your child happens to have had a bad day or is simply in a bad mood for whatever reason, sad about something that happened at school, just respond with something positive. Try giving them a hug. Try just listening if they are willing to talk about what is bothering them. Bottom line, you need to be a support base.

The lifestyle you choose has a huge on your children. If you really want to show that you love your children on a whole new level, then you must take care of yourself the way you would want your child to take care of themselves. Healthy habits are paramount if you want your child to develop much of the same. Unhealthy habits such as smoking, overeating, getting angry around them often - all these things lead a child to learn to do the same things. Provide your child with a nutritious diet, take them the doctor regularly, and educate them about their body and the world that surrounds them. These are all things you can do to show love to your child.

As a parent you are also a role model. Encouraging your children to do the things they enjoy or are passionate about is very important. Your child will need this encouragement to discover his or her strengths.

Show you child you love them by spending quality time with them. We all lead busy lives but it is important that your children should not feel that you are too busy to spend time with them.

And of course, never forget to say, "I love you." Your child may think that it's mushy or whatever, but it's important, so do it!
