Tips of Spending a Day at the Beach

Getting back from my first trip to Phuket island. Phuket, a famous and beautiful island located at Thailand. The scenery is fantastic, you only can feel the wonderfulness by stepping to this island. After spending one week times at Phuket, I would like to share some tips when spending your day at the beach. To enjoy your superb trip to an island or beaches, you need to get prepare and get ready before spending your day at Phuket to avoid any accident and uncomfortable after returning from your trip.

First of all, you need to check the weather condition of the selected places that you wish to visit. Check the weather condition before you go because the weather condition will be the key of preparations for your day at the beach.

Sun block with higher sun protection is a must protection when spending your day at the beach. There are few tips when using or applying the sun block. A lot of people would misunderstand that, if they are used water proof sun block then no reapplying is necessary. The sun block and sun protection will last for the whole day! This is absolutely wrong. Water proof sun block will also reduce the protection of your skin after applying it a period of time. So do remember to reapplying sun block after swimming. Different people might have different skin, if you are fall into the category of those with lighter skinned, then you will need more protection. If you can feel that your skin starts to feel parched, try to cover up with some light colored clothing where it will help to reflect back the sunlight in order to build a shield to your skin. I would recommend SPF 30 for face and SPF 50 for body.

Prepare drinking water during your day at the beach. I just remember one of my trips to Koh Samui island at Thailand too, we only prepared alcohol as our beverages during our day out to Koh Phang island. Alcohol does not help to release the water dehydration our body experience. But increase the cloudiness of our judgment while in the water. That was my last trip to beach with alcohol. Water will helps to keep you fresh throughout the day as water will help to balance up your hydrated body.

Lastly, I would not recommend you to jump into the sea after eating and drinking. If you plan to swim or snorkelling avoid having any food or drink to avoid cramps in the water. If you plan to swim or snorkelling, have your light lunch or breakfast then wait for about thirty minutes after consuming food and drink before jumping into the sea.
