Tips for Staying Thin

Everyone Wants that Thin Body; Now You Can Get It

Jim Kelly
America is considered to be in a obesity epidemic. We tend to eat too much fried food and too much unhealthy foods unlike our neighbors across the Atlantic in Europe. Is it because Americans are lazy or is it because we are simply exposed to more unhealthy choices then those abroad? I believe it is because we fail to recognize and do something about the problem. We cast off the problem as something that can be easily fixed, however the damages from eating so unhealthy do not go away so simply. Here are 5 easy ways to stay thin in a time where fast foods seem to rule.

1. Eat socially. We all tend to eat alone and too quickly every now and then and choose the most convenient place to eat. When people eat in a social setting, they slow down their intake and eat less while talking more and enjoying the company of others. Also, when you eat socially you tend to be out at a restaurant where the servers, if it's a nice restaurant, will pace the servings to allow you to recognize when indeed you are full.

2. Substitute your snacks. Instead of grabbing the seventy five cent chips in the vending machine with over one hundred calories, bring some fruit or some nuts to snack on, they are healthier and just as convenient.

3. Eat at set times. When people eat at random times during the day their cycles get messed up and sooner or later you will be eating too late at night for your own good health. Any meal after 7 is probably a little too unhealthy for your liking.

4. Red wine. Have a glass of red wine every night it gives you a great amount of antioxidants and will keep you away from those sugar filled sodas.

5. Change it up. Do not continue eating the same foods over and over for every meal. Variety is not only the spice of life but it will keep you craving different foods for different meals and you also might end up trying something great that you would not otherwise have tried.
