If you have a Nose Bleed sit down and lean forward and breathe through your mouth. Close the lower part of your nose on the side that is bleeding by pressing it with the ball of your thumb, Keep pressing for five to ten minutes. This procedure stops most nosebleeds, do not blow your nose for about 12 hours. After that ,blow very gentle and carefully because you don't won't to break a vessel which can cause more bleeding, and also so you won't blow out the clot that had stopped the bleeding in the first place. If bleeding continues, than of course you must consult your Physician or, if the bleeding is not stopping you should go to a hospital emergency room to be treated, this is just a procedure to follow if it is not bleeding to bad. If you do need to see a Doctor he or she will probably pack a strip of gauze into the bleeding nostril and have you leave it in for several hours. The gauze is to apply pressure to the ruptured blood vessels. In most cases this usually stop the nosebleed.
Never pick inside your nostril to hard, or if you have long fingernails you could accidentally cut the inside of your nose which can cause more bleeding but, in that case you would know what caused it , and you can use the same method to stop it, just use your thumb on the flat side not the tip if your nose are itching. Nosebleed can look scary seeing all that blood but , they're usually not life threatening and is caused by common symptoms and can easily be treated with a little self help. Nosebleeds are not cause by high blood pressure this is cause by an entirely different matter like, overweight, or a poor diet with to much salt. A nosebleed is something you can treat at home provided it not a serious nosebleed which would need medical treatment. Until you know that your nosebleed has stopped, it's probably not a good idea to go running around doing a lot of activities, you should lye down and take it ease for a while, especially if you don't really know what caused the nosebleed. Remember to blow gently after the bleeding has completely stopped.
