Tips to Succeed in a Job Interview

James Cardigan
Whether you just got fired from a previous job or you just started in the work force, you need to make a good first impression when you go to a job interview. One slight mistake can keep you from getting the job. Just go along with the following tips to avoid making the mistakes that beginners make.

Tip 1.) Be clean... shampoo your hair, bathe and scrub yourself, and brush your teeth. Clean keeps your future employer from wanting to end the interview early from B.O.

Tip 2.) Dress appropriately... Wear a suit, if you don't have one, put on a tie and slacks. If you are a female, a skirt that is not too long and not too short. Do not expose your breasts! You need to dress professionally, and the only way that is going to be consider professional is if you are at a job interview at "Hooters!"

Tip 3.) Shake hands when invited to do so... you want to show that you are a professional at making good impressions. Employers want to hire people they like, so show respect by being polite.

Tip 4.) Answer questions honestly... one thing a lot of people do is lie on their resume and some get fired very quickly. Don't be one of those people! If you are new to a particular field of work, don't say you have experience in that field of work.

Tip 5.) Make eye contact... Confidence is key and if you prove to show that you believe that you can do the job, the likelyhood of you getting it is more than a possiblity.

These five tips should give you an advantage over the guys wearing the baggy pants and the tattoos. It should give you even a advantage over some of the guys in suits as well. Just make sure you follow the tips and you will find a job sooner than later!
