Feeding your Happy Aquarium fish

To be successful in the game, you need to make sure that you take great care of your fish. The most important aspect to caring for you fish family is to ensure that they are well fed. This is especially important for your adolescent fish. Malnourished fish will be unable to grow to adulthood. In addition to keeping your fish happy, feeding your fish will earn you experience points.

Tip - Food is really cheap. However, you should still be careful not to waste it. When feeding your fish, they will swim toward the flakes of food floating toward the bottom of the tank. If the food reaches the bottom of the tank, it will have gone to waste. To increase your chances of having all of the food eaten, herd your fish to one side of the tank by tapping the glass.

Tip - Save up your pearls so you can purchase a three-day feeder. This will keep all of the fish in your tank feed and happy for three days. This is the perfect solution if you are planning on going away a weekend getaway.

Training your Happy Aquarium fish

To teach your fish tricks, click on the train button in your fish's stat menu. You will need to complete a challenge in order to acquire the new skill. Note: You can only learn one trick per experience level.

Tip - When completing the training challenge, timing is everything. Some obstacles need to be clicked as soon as possible. Others, if clicked to soon, will reappear 'killing' your fish.

Mating your Happy Aquarium fish

Fish can be expensive to purchase. Fortunately, the game allows you to mate your fish as an alternative to growing your fish family. To do this, you need to have two fish (same species, different gender) and a clean tank.

Tip - Mating is a great way to add more fish to your tank without spending a ton of coins. To mate, you must first have two adult fish of the same species and opposite gender in your tank. Once your fish have mated, you will see a fish egg drop to the bottom of the tank. In a couple of hours, your egg will hatch and you will see the new addition to your fish family.

Cleaning your Happy Aquarium tank

I'm thinking that given my lack of ability to care for plants, I should stick to virtual pets.
