Sims 3 by Electronic Arts is a highly addictive game, but it can be frustrating. It's hard to keep on top of your Sim's basic needs when you are just starting a game. A seemingly small incident can throw off your Sim's sleep cycle, leaving her tired, cranky and unhappy. For instance, a leaky sink can be difficult for an unskilled Sim to fix. Hiring a serviceperson to fix the sink isn't always successful. The Sim is often left with a sink that's still leaking, water all over the floor and a smaller bank account. This and other problematic Sims situations can be solved simply without using cheats.

How to Fix a Leaky Sink in the Sims 3

Just like in real life, leaky sinks seem to happen at the worst possible time. Luckily, in the Sims world, there is a quick fix. Simply enter buy mode, click on the leaky sink and sell it. Purchase a new sink to replace the old one. The problem is solved quickly and easily, without interrupting the flow of your game.

How to Prevent Sims Fireplace Fires

You decided to put a fireplace in your Sims house when your Sim had a bit of extra cash. Unfortunately, the fireplace seems to constantly catch on fire. This waste of time can make you want to sell the fireplace back to the Sims store. However, you can avoid that. Once you get a high enough handyman skill level, you can upgrade the fireplace to fireproof. Better yet, don't buy a fireplace until your handyman skill is high enough to make the upgrade.

How to Grow a Sims Garden

Figuring out how to grow a Sims garden can be a challenge. But, it's worth it to explore gardening so that you can grow a death flower. You can give this flower to the Grim Reaper in order to cheat death and continue the game. To begin a Sims garden, simply buy produce from the store. You can then plant the produce in your yard. Be sure to leave a space between each row so your Sim can reach the plants to care for them. Take a Sims gardening class at the science building and read gardening books to increase your gardening skill.

Playing Sims 3 can be challenging, fun and an inspiration for real life. Learning some tips and tricks can take the frustration level out of the game!
