When decorating anything in your home with lights, use clear ones for the white Christmas theme. This includes using clear lights on your Christmas tree. Try clear blinking lights if you want to add a special touch.
When decorating with a white Christmas theme, make sure that you tree matches the theme. Spay some fake snow onto your tree to make it look like it belongs in a white Christmas scene. Add white and clear, and a touch of silver to the tree using different ornaments, ribbon, beads, and garland. Glass ornaments along with snowflakes make a beautiful touch to white Christmas theme. For the top of the Christmas tree, try a crystal angel to make it extra wonderful.
A white Christmas theme should continue into the dining room. Place white napkins, a tablecloth, or placemats at the dining room table. These accessories can be all white or have touch of sparkle to them. For a dining room centerpiece, get a glass bowl or pitcher and fill it with white or silver balls. Tie a white ribbon around the bowl or pitcher for an added touch.
When hanging Christmas decorations for a white Christmas theme, you want to look for decorations that are either white, clear, or silver and then decorations that put outside in the white snow. Some decorations that you should look for are snowflakes, snowmen, silver bells, glass figurines, white doves, white pinecones, winter scenery.
Another way to go with the white Christmas them in your home is to get Christmas decorations and figurines that have the winter scenery on them. Try old villages that are surrounded in snow. Or carolers singing in the snow. You just have to be on the lookout for any Christmas items that have snow or winter scenes on them. These can also be added to a white Christmas theme to add some color and liveliness to your home.
Check out your local craft supply stores for fake snow. There are plenty of different types of fake snow that you can place in your home for a white Christmas theme. There is the kind that you spray on items such as your windows and Christmas tree. There are cotton sheets that resemble snow to place your knick knack on your table on. There is also the fake snow that you can sprinkle around your house (looks like confetti). Be creative and before you know it, you will be living in a white Christmas!
