If you are looking for tips on using the Disney monorail to get around Orlando, Florida, you've come to the right place. Here are some useful tips on using the Disney monorail during your next Orlando, Florida holiday.

If you have little ones, why not treat them to something special next time you're going to board the monorail. Ask the attendant if you and your family can ride up front with the conductor. If there is no one up front at the time, you'll be given permission, and you and your family will be treated to a special ride with some very special views of Disney.

Try to avoid the monorail during its busiest times. It's frustrating to wait on more lines and it's even more frustrating to have to stand during your monorail ride. So try to avoid using the monorail around dinner time, when people are leaving the parks and heading back to their hotels.

Unfortunately, the monorail seems to be breaking down more and more frequently as the years go by. Don't be shocked if it stalls while you're between stops. You're in no danger but it sure can put a damper on your vacation day.

Be aware of which stops the monorail makes. The monorail only services the Walt Disney World resort area, including the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Contemporary, and the Polynesian. You can also take the monorail to and from the Walt Disney World Transportation and Ticket Center, where you will park your car when visiting the Magic Kingdom.

The monorail can be quite chilly at times, so be sure to pack a sweater. Even if it's 92 degrees and sunny outside.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the monorail, so leave that Mai Tai from the Polynesian behind.

Don't forget to enjoy the sights. You'll pass Disney's man-made Seven Seas Lagoon, Disney's Wedding Pavilion, golf courses and much much more. Look out the window and enjoy the ride.

Finally, be courteous to those who are riding on the monorail along with you. No smoking please. And be sure to give up your seat for Grandma and Grandpa. Help make the monorail enjoyable for everyone.
