Tips on Using Your Sony PSP

4 Overlooked Features

Eric Thomas
Hello fellow digital buffs out there! PSP is awesome! I waste so much of my free time on this gadget, but I CAN'T help it! If you already have a Sony PSP, then you've no doubt enjoyed games and probably a movie or two! But, if you haven't explored it's full capabilities, or are in the market for purchasing a Sony PSP and want a little information about the product, then read on! Here are some of the features that I really enjoy about the PSP, and some extra features that you might not be utilizing yet!

Other than it's outstanding gaming capabilities, here are the additional features of Sony's PSP:

Internet - Probably the number one most under-appreciated feature of the Sony PSP is it's Internet capability and interactive, wireless game play. Many PSP users don't even know about this feature, let alone utilize it! You can surf the World Wide Web using your PSP's Internet browser. It even has a WiFi capability that will allow you to download media from the net, or communicate with other PSP's for competitive game play! Wireless competition has never been so awesome...or easy!

Video - In addition to the continually expanding, full-length movie library that Sony has available for the PSP, there are also TV shows and music videos available. There are a number of PSP media download sites out there that offer unlimited access to games, music, movies, shows etc. All you need to have is the additional UMD (universal memory) memory that stores your media, plug it into the PSP unit and there you have it! It's very convenient and is a lot better than carrying a bunch of videos and games around with you.

Photos - Just like a lot of mp3 players, the PSP also displays photo's with great picture quality and detail. Here again, you need the additional memory device of your choice to store the photo's and then transfer them to your PSP. Image transfer is also possible with the WiFi connection. Just connect to your friend, and send them some of your pictures! Simple.

Music - Yep, you can use the PSP as an mp3 player also! Transfer your mp3, mp4 or wav files onto the memory device and you have your music library with you and ready to play! Who needs a regular mp3 player when the Sony PSP has that, AND games, movies and Internet?

I hope this short article about the Sony PSP has helped you realize some of the outstanding features that you may not have been fully taking advantage of. The PSP really is a revolutionary piece of hand-held entertainment. Hopefully, you can take advantage of these features now that you know they're out there!
