It is a great one to use when going out to the theater, which you are sure to do at least once on your New York Vacation.
It is one of the easiest walking tours to plan, just start at either the North or the South on Broadway or 7th Avenue and go to the cross streets when you come to what you want to see. Of course, there is plenty to see and do on Broadway itself. And plenty of restaurants for when you need a break. Try to make time to see these sites on your walking tour of the Theater District of New York. The are some of the most significant buildings in New York, some for their history and some just because they are a bit unusual. The Theater District of New York is the dream of every student of theater. If they make it here, they can make it anywhere and you never know who you will walk into on a walking tour of The Theater District of New York.

The Winter Garden Theater

Hershey's Times Square

This is one of the shall we say more unusual of the facades in Manhattan. Of course, you can come here to get your sugar fix and energy pick up, but it is worth a visit just to get a picture.

Duffy Square

Duffy Square is one of the historic stopping off spots on a walking tour of the Theater District. It is also the place that houses the discount ticket booth for the Broadway shows. Stop in and get your show tickets here.

The Paramount Building

The Paramount Building is now an office building, but it was once the home of the Paramount Theater, the home of the rock and roll shows of the 50's and 60's. It is a beautiful example of the architecture that made New York famous in the 30's. She is a great old lady and not to be missed.

One Times Square

You know it as the building that the famous New Years ball drops at exactly midnight, the place that is jammed with thousands of freezing tourists. It was once the home of the New York Times and the source of the name Times Square.
