Tips for Wedding Hairstyles

It's time to go out and buy your dresses and get your hair done for all of your special occasions this summer. Some popular styles I've seen are side swept and curly, but the possibilities are endless!

Here are some things to remember when getting your hairstyle. First, wear a button down shirt. Most of those special occasion styles are big and curly, but even if yours isn't, you don't want to be wrestling with a shirt collar when it's time to change into your dress.

Second, don't shampoo your hair the day you are getting your hairstyle. Hair behaves much better when it has some natural oils on the surface. Shampooing the day before is fine.

Third, hairspray is a must. These styles need to hold for hours, so it would be a good idea to have some spray at home, preferably a good spray. You should give your hair a good spray down after you're dressed and before you leave.

And finally, book your appointment as soon as you can and as late in the day as you can. The earlier you call the better chance you have of getting the appointment time you want. The later you can get your appointment (without running late!) the fresher your hairstyle will be and the less time you will be running around with all those pins in your hair.
