Title belt for Welterweight champion "Sugar Shane Mosley and "Jaguar" Luis Collazo

"Sugar" Shane Mosley and "Jaguar" Luis Collazo went head to head.The majority of the boxing highlights showed people favored Mosley 3 to 1 to win this fight. With 10 years separating the two it seemed as if it was going be a nail biting toe to toe battle.Mosley although 10 years the elder of Collazo had the experience,drive and determination needed to surpass his younger opponent.

This would be Mosleys first fight against a "southpaw" fighter.Mosley stepped down in class once again to welterweight.Both fighters hold former welterweight titles,while Mosley also held former titles in lightweight as well as middleweight.

In the 4th round a head butt caused Collazo to endure a cut above his left that drizzled blood until the round ended possibly a distraction.In round 8 Collazo seemed to be overwhelmed as Mosley threw several power punches again and again that were dominating.In the 11th round Collazo took a right hook from Mosley that lead to a knockdown but not a knockout,although he tried to catch himself his legs gave out but he stood back up,shook it off to finish the fight.Going all 12 rounds the winner by unanimous decision was "Sugar" Shane Mosley.
