These irons are forged from stainless steel which help lower the cost and durability while allowing for some more game improvement features. The center of the cavity is cut out and in its place is a red aluminum chip. This chip not only adds a bold color to the iron but allows Titleist to move 10 grams of weight to the heel and toe areas to increase forgiveness, along with vibration dampening properties of the metal.
The progressive cavities make the long irons easiest to hit as they have the largest cavities in the set. This allows more weight around the perimeter and in the sole of the club to help get the ball in the air easily. They also incorporate different hosel lengths, with the 3 to 7 irons having a shorter hosel to better help trajectory. Titleist has long kept their irons fairly straight forward, and these are no different as there is not much offset in the hosel area. This clean, classic look gives confidence to not only the better player, but average golfers as well. These really are great looking clubs for being in the "game improvement" category!
The face of the iron is fairly thin, this helps to allow even more weight to the perimeter of club, and are finished with CNC milled groves for consistency. The way these irons are made not only looks great, but using the stainless steel, they will last longer, and keep their great look while you have them.
I enjoyed hitting these clubs on the range. They felt great, flew well and I could still work them a little to the right and left. The ball felt good off the face, and seemed to "jump" a little more compared to the other Titleist irons I have hit in the past. I was able to hit these during a demo day so I was able to find an iron head that wast matched to my lie angle and shaft length. Of course, Titleist offers a number of custom options for this set, from loft to lie, length, to flex and grip size, you can definitely make this set truly your own.
Give the Titleist 775.CB Forged irons a try, You will like them!

Post a CommentI agree with Kat's idea about videos. I think that would gain you some great exposure!
I will give that a try if I can find a camera. I may do a slide show displaying the many types of clubs and club design.
Thanks for the idea!
You should do a video about the different aspects of golf or the different clubs one of these days. A visual would help a little bit because I never played. Good job with the technicals.
