TJ Frech's Cheap-Ass Meals: Delicious Thai-ish Noodles

Turning a Few Bucks into a Delicious Meal for One

Recently, I've hit some hard times. My paycheck is low, my bank account is lower, and my credit line is pretty big.

In these hard economic times, how is a man (or woman) supposed to eat? We can't afford to be hitting up greasy burger joints and cheap pizza, so what are we to do?

Well, first, you need to get yourself a pack of chicken-flavored Ramen noodles. As everyone knows, these ramen noodles are dirt cheap. Next, get some butter, olive oil, pepper, soy sauce, and 2 eggs. These are all also pretty cheap.

My suggestion for some of the listed ingredients are to take them from eating establishments. Say, if you live in a town that has some Asian eateries, there's a good place to get some packets of soy sauce (you will probably need about 4 for this dish). I suggest you buy the other ingredients, unless you work in a restaurant and have easy access to these ingredients. I'm not saying you should steal them, but if the opportunity presents itself, you should "borrow" them.

Now, on to the preparation of the dish!

First, cook the ramen as it directs on the package. Except the chicken flavoring packet that will be used later.

While that's cooking, put a couple of tsp of olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and start heating it up.

When the ramen is finished cooking, drain it. Then dump the the ramen in the olive oil. Then immediately put a tsp of butter into the pan too. Then, open the packets of soy sauce and dump them in to the noodle mixture as well.

While those are cooking, crack the 2 eggs and put them in with the noodles. Keep stirring the noodles and eggs until the eggs are fully cooked. Dust with pepper according to your taste.

After the eggs are all cooked and the liquids are gone, remove from heat and let sit for a minute.

If you feel thats too boring for you, add some veggies or chicken. These are great additions to an already delicious meal.

Enjoy!
