TJ Maxx: the Best Bargain Hunters Paradise!

Where to Shop During This Economic Crisis!

The Mrs.
I hate to admit it. I'm a snob when it comes to shopping. I'm a "Nordy's Girl"...Ann Taylor...Ann Taylor Loft....Williams-Sonoma...you get the idea. I'm not proud of it. It's just the way it is. I like nice things, and I believe you get what you pay for.

I realize we are in the midst of an economic crisis, and I need to be careful about what I buy. I have stopped shopping like I normally do. Well, they opened a TJ Maxx in our area, and I hesitantly decided to go in there simply because it was new to our area, and I had nothing else to do.

Lucky for me, I went in. I love to cook. It's my thing. Especially now, when I don't shop like I used to, I find myself in the kitchen more and more these days. I cannot even begin to tell you about all the treasures I encountered! I found Laguiole knives! Yes, Laguiole knives that I have had my heart set on but refused to buy before because they are so expensive. I found them on the clearance table for a whopping $6.99 for a set of 6! I could not believe my eyes, as they have been on my Christmas Wish List for the past 5 years! Next, I found a darling green Le Creuset casserole pan for $14.99! I love Le Creuset! That will last me forever! These are practical items for my kitchen, and who can beat that price?

It is really worth the trip to check out TJ Maxx. I even found Coach sunglasses, and Lancome, Stila, and Sugar makeup! I bought myself Oscar De La Renta sungasses for $9.99! They had tons of handbags, from Vera Bradley to Dooney & Burke! Yes, they might be a tad disorganized, but if that will save me hundreds of dollars, then I don't mind sifting through things to find what I'm looking for. Believe me, I can spot that Williams-Sonoma font on a box a million miles away. Which reminds me of the Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Candle I bought for $9.99 (retail is 20.00)! I was thinking the Holidays are right around the corner, so I actually bought the only two they had!

I'm looking forward to perusing the aisles of TJ Maxx in the near future, and highly recommend it for any other shoppers are cutting back on spending as well!
