According to EW.com, Jon & Kate Plus Eight are back on for season five! Today, on April 2, 2009, Jon & Kate were at TLC's upfront. They were holding hands and giving the generic platitudes about how great season five will be. Heart-warming Jon said to "expect the unexpected," and Kate also added on to his statement, "the family will [...] be taking a very exciting trip in the near future. Not to give it away, but it'll take us back to our roots." As a die-hard viewer of the show I don't particularly enjoy when they take "trips," but if its something new and "unexpected" like Jon was incurring, then I'm up for this new season.

As a fan, I will say that I want a new season of the Gosselins but I really hope that they fixed the problems they were having at home. Thoroughly enjoying the documentary aspect of the show in their past seasons, Jon & Kate Plus Eight has diminished in quality due to the fact that the producers of TLC changed the shows tempo from the kids to the Jon and Kate's problems. The cute first time parents of six fighting was okay because you could still see that had a salty realness to them. They didn't hide their attitudes once the cameras turned. The family outings are always fun because you never know what the kids are going to say, but the moment gets ruined when they cut to a scene of Kate yelling at Jon or vice versa.

A problem that producers have when they are able to get a good rated, multiple season show, they diminish the values that they held in season one. I myself am also a big fan of Scrubs and the fans are heart-broken with the outcome of this season. Bill Lawrence, the producer and writer of Scrubs, said pre-season that he was going to go back to the quality of season one. That wasn't the case and this just might be Scrubs worst season yet. The producers that are in charge of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus Eight need to realize that again because I can tell you that I'm an un-happy fan, especially the way the producers portrayed Jon & Kate in the season finale of season four.

Hoping for a new quality from the producers I hope that Jon & Kate Plus Eight gets back on track. They did have some problem Jon allegedly cheating on Kate with a college student, which was coincidently at the same time that the show had just put up the finale. This is why Jon was stressing that he was helping out his mom. There were a lot of gossip magazines that were negatively portraying him. This is part of the reason why he was so hesitant to go on with the show.

Thank you for stopping by! I would love to hear your comments and concerns about the show and how you think season five of Jon & Kate Plus Eight with pan out.
