TLC to Jon Gosselin: You're an Unfit Father!

When word got out about Jon Gosselin's tentative new show, "Divorced Dad's Club," TLC wasn't happy about Jon's willingness to break his Jon and Kate Plus 8 contract, but TLC wasn't exactly heartbroken either. In a letter sent to Jon Gosselin by execs at TLC, he was told he had already violated his Jon and Kate Plus 8 contract by showing questionable morals, and thereby violating the morals clause in his contract. Finally, someone from the production side is standing up for what is right, even if that means losing one of their almighty cash cows. Good for TLC!

After years of watching chaos unfold in the Jon and Kate Plus 8 household, who ever thought Kate Gosselin would rise up out of the ashes as the family hero? Season after season, we watched holier-than-thou Kate lose her mind over Jon and the kids regarding seemingly insignificant issues. Meanwhile, Jon was about as useless and aggressive as a lump of pudding. Who knew that Jon would turn out to be the nation's ultimate douche bag? Maybe some saw it coming, but not to this extent.

Right now there is a lot of he says, she says going on, but one thing is for sure - Jon is not the good father and good Christian everyone pegged him out to be. By now everyone knows about Jon's affair with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic surgeon who gave Kate her free tummy tuck back in the first season of Jon and Kate Plus 8. We heard about his bizarre connection with Ed Hardy clothing designer Christian Audigier, even though Jon looks like a complete moron in those clothes, but now Jon has done something even more unforgivable than cheating and going through an early mid-life crisis; He's taken money away from the children's college fund.

The money that came from last season's taping of Jon and Kate Plus 8 went into a joint account, and both Jon and Kate were each given some of the earnings. Kate took most of the money and placed it into the children's college fund, but Jon spent every last dime of that money on himself and girlfriend Hailey Glassman and their international excursions.

Meanwhile, Jon is selling pictures and interviews as a way of making money on the side before Divorced Dad's Club takes off (if it does). According to TMZ, a judge ruled that Kate be put in charge of the finances this season, as she's the more responsible parent. Poor Jon isn't too happy about this, but my question is, how did he not see this coming? He's acting like an unfaithful jerk out in public, spending money on gifts and trips. He gets off on interviewing with the paparazzi, the same paparazzi he openly loathed less than a year ago.

For a while now, family, former friends and neighbors have spoken out about Jon and Kate's special brand of dysfunction, but it finally seems like people who really matter are starting to take notice. The displeasure voiced in TLC's letter to Jon, and the judge's ruling over finances show what's to come. Jon needs to be brought down a notch. He's still the father to eight young kids and he needs to get over himself, grow up, and do the right thing. Whether he does or not, I hope Jon gets his you-know-what handed to him in the divorce proceedings, even if Kate decides to go easy on him.
