Convenient and Easy to Use: T-Mobile 4G Mobile Hotspot

Making Life Easier for Families on the Go

Stephanie Armstrong

I was given the chance to try out the T-Mobile 4G Mobile Hotspot and found it to be very useful for a variety of family outings. Unlike a laptop stick, the Mobile Hotspot acts like a mobile router and lets users connect up to 5 Wi-Fi capable devices to the Internet on T-Mobile's 4G network. You can connect your laptop, gaming consoles, tablets and more with the Mobile Hotspot.

Convenient and Easy-to-Use

I was able to set up the device within minutes and connected my laptop on my first try. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X computers. As soon as I got online, I changed the network's name and updated the security settings. The Mobile Hotspot has a small screen that displays the signal strength, battery gauge and how many Wi-Fi devices are connected to it.

On the Go with T-Mobile's 4G Network

The T-Mobile's 4G Mobile Hotspot allows you to get wireless service almost everywhere. It can transform lengthy road trips by allowing you to download a new e-book while your kids watch YouTube videos or surf the web on their laptops. If grandma doesn't have Wi-Fi in her home, just turn on the hotspot to get online.

I like the fact that I can change up my day and take this hotspot device out to the park and get some work done. I won't have to stay indoors at the library or in my home office all of the time. T-Mobile's HSPA+ 4G network is not available in all locations. You can visit their website to view coverage details.

T-Mobile 4G MobileHotspot Features

The hotspot is manufactured by ZTE, only weighs 2.64 ounces and is compact. It is so small and portable that you can take it on the go in your purse or pocket. It features a slot for an SD memory card so you can store up to 32 GB of data wherever you go.

Flexible and Affordable Plans

T-Mobile may not have the fastest speed compared to other hotspot devices currently on the market, but the carrier does offer more flexibility with its service plans. They offer no overage postpaid plans and no-contract prepaid plans. I really like that they have a $10 weekly pass that provides 100 MB for 7 days of service. This plan would be ideal for occasional trips and is more affordable than pricey hotel Internet access fees.
