In this case you have Verizon, the giant with 91.2 million phone customers doing battle with T-Mobile which has 33.4 million users, for the chance at being a new distributor of the iPhone on their network. As we all know AT&T has exclusive rights to distribute the iPhone and has done so for a number of years. Before AT&T got the right Apple was negotiating with Verizon to be the distributor to release the iPhone, because the giant wanted more control than Apple was willing to relinquish the deal never went through and hear we are years later. Soon Apple will be looking for a partner to distribute the iPhone again and T-Mobile will be in the right place at the right time to help its loyal customers benefit.
Have you ever heard the statement never burn bridges for you never know which one you will have to cross again. Verizon is about to try and cross the Apple bridge, but I believe they have burned it down already. Remember all those negative ads Verizon put out there about the iPhone with theMisfit toys, and now Verizon has joined forces with Google to push the droid phones. But, during this time not once did T-Mobile put a negative ad about iPhones in their marketing strategy, and thus kept their bridge with Apple open for service.
T-Mobile has already been working overseas to establish a relationship with Apple, and soon it will manifest itself in the United States. We all have seen the G1, the Behold, and the My touch from T-Mobile do well in the U.S. now its time for the iPhone to join the family at T-Mobile. Through the years I have had Cingular which became AT&T, their plans were too high; Verizon whom one customer service person told me they don't have to give deals they have the best service out there, and they know it; and U.S. Cellular, no good phones with this company. For the past 3 years I have been a T-Mobile user and have been impressed with the plans they have for loyal customers. If the iphone were to come on the T-Mobile network it well definitely keep me interested in staying another 2 years.

Post a CommentAre you playing with a full deck? I may be a loyal Verizon customer but objectively speaking, T-mobile will never get the Iphone. First of all, the ads of the iphone as a misfit toy were shots at AT&T, not apple. You would agree if you really watched the ad. Secondly T-mobile can barely support their current line up. With poor service, delayed SMS and MMS as well as speeds equivalent to 2.5G, T-mobile is in no position to pose a threat to anyone. That's why they only have 33 million subscribers with the most economical pricing plans around. People know where to find service and reliability and so does Apple. The numbers speak for themselves.
