The Service:
T-mobile has wide cell-phone coverage across the nation and abroad. Most areas of the United States are within their covered areas. I've not traveled a lot with my phone, so I am unable to say for certain how reliable the service is in other areas, but I've never had a dropped call or trouble connecting to the service.
Minutes are not overly expensive--and especially not if you take into account that there is no monthly service fee. Prices start at $10 for 30 minutes and go on up to $100 for 1,000 minutes.
After $100 in refills you become a Gold Rewards customer which means your minutes will not expire for an entire year and each time you add minutes you will get 15% more minutes free.
It is very easy to refill your minutes. You can do so by visiting their website or directly from your T-mobile phone. You can also buy refill cards at locations nationwide.
The Phones:
When I decided to go with T-mobile's prepaid pay-as you-go plan, I chose a Siemens brand flip phone. It is very small and attractive. The phones that are available as of this writing have more features than mine has. Most include a camera, for instance. You can choose from Nokia 6030, Motorola V195, Samsung t509, Samsung t219, Nokia 6103, Samsung t3 19, or Samsung Stripe. Most of the phones come with Bluetooth wireless technology and instant messaging.
Prepaid starter kits, which include the phone and starter minutes, range from the reasonable price of $39.99 to $99.99. And can be ordered from their website.
While prepaid phone service may not be for everyone ( it would not be cost-effective for people who enjoy frequent lengthy conversations on a cell phone), prepaid is perfect for people like me. I use my cell phone mainly for emergency and don't spend much time chatting on the phone. I wanted a plan that did not bind me to a contract and gave me a lot of flexibility. T-mobile prepaid pay as you go exceeded my expectations.
If you want a cell phone with good service but don't want to be tied to a monthly contract, I highly recommend T-mobile prepaid service.

Post a CommentSee I can understand completely why more people are going to T-mobile prepaid becuase the savings are just There. Plain and simple. If you aren't talking all the time on your cellphone.. having a normal contract with a big phone company is just wasting away your money. The have hidden fees and the bills are outrageous. I myself have a net10 phone and save money every week. I feel like people are going to learn this hidden secret of prepaid phones and will slowly move towards buying them. Then the profits for them will go up and it won't be from them stealing out of our pockets.
I can understand why people like the t-mobile prepaid but I prefer Net10. I have done so much work and research on different cell phone plans that are available and have come to realize that prepaid is completely the way to go . You aren't stuck in some contract where they have complete control of what they charge you -- and you get these fees and you're like WHAT ARE THESE!! With prepaid, at least you have a are able to control what you actually pay for. I have a net10 phone and the service is fabulous and I have saved SO much money. Ten cents a minute and TONS OF INTERNATIONAL calling to over 60 destinations for just 15 cents a minute.. pay for what you actually not use.
i love tjis phone it real eay to use on the go
All three of my sons used to have T-Mobile. They loved it. Some of the mothers that I know have T-Mobile for their kids. At one point, I thought about T-Mobile for the kids, however, when my cell phone provider went to share minutes and unlimited texting, I just put them on my plan.
I used to be a T-Mobile user... changed over when I moved to a different location. I must say I loved that little phone! Good research and information in this article! :D
Excellent review...I have this service and it's been pretty good so far...:)
My brother just loves to watch Catherine Zeta Jones.
