The T-Mobile Wing brings more to the table than other smart phones on the market today. This device is loaded with features to make communication easier.
The touch screen is a stand out advantage over other PDA type phones out now.
The full slide-out QWERTY keyboard makes email and texting a breeze. Or, use the on-screen keyboard with stylus to type.
Getting a call or need to make a call? Use the standard built in ear piece, the stereo headset, speaker phone or the blue tooth headset. The choice is yours. The phone is a bit bulky if you are holding it up to your ear, but if you are used to a Blackberry or Sidekick this shouldn't be too much of a difference.
Like many other phones, the Wing comes standard with the calendar, calculator, alarm clock and two games; Bubble Breaker and Solitaire.
Unlike many other phones, the Wing also boasts Microsoft Office Mobile. Complete with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Open documents previously created on a pc or create new documents.
Windows Live is fully operational and at your fingertips.
Adobe Reader LE allows you to view PDF documents.
Windows Media Player gives you access to listen to your downloaded music, watch videos and other media. View your playlists in the library.
Keep in contact with up to 6 email addresses. Supports 1 Outlook address and 5 others, such as aol, gmail, netzero...
Connect to high speed internet using Wi-Fi or "hotspots." Hotspots are commonly found in coffee shops, fast food restaurants, colleges, book stores and airports.
Don't have an internet connection, but need to use your laptop? Use your T-Mobile Wing as a modem! It's true! I am doing this right now!
The Wing allows for Internet Sharing. Connect your PC or laptop to the Wing via blue tooth or USB. The connection is not as fast as broadband but definitely not as slow as dial-up!
Take pictures! A 2 megapixel camera allows for photo-ops anytime. You can also take short videos. Set the 2 second or 10 second self-timer so you can be in the photo too!
Unlike other phones with cameras, you can change the settings on this one. You can fix the speed, white balance, resolution, quality and metering.
Store all of your pics on a MicroSD card (bought separately).
This phone has it all and more.
The only warning is, be careful to always lock the phone when you are not using it. The touch screen is very sensitive and has been known to call people by accident! (I know this from experience!)
