TNA Knockout Announces Her Retirement

Spy Radio
In an interview with The Sun, Shantelle Malawski known as Taylor Wilde has announced her retirement from wrestling. This announcement came as a surprise considering Malawski is only 24 years old. Malawski is leaving the business to try and better her career outside the ring by going back to school.

Even though Malawski is taking some time off to go back to school, I don't think we have seen the last of her. In the interview Malawski hints that a return is not out of the question. When asked "could she ever be persuaded to change her decision?" She said "If I go back to school and earn a degree, and then some amazing wrestling opportunity came my way I'd be able to make a more adult decision. I have to think about the rest of my life, the state of my body and my bank account. But never say never. Maybe a year or two down the line - if I can still fit in my tights!".

If it is the last time we have seen Malawski in the ring, below are some career highlights to remember her by...

1. Wilde was the first Knockout to hold both the TNA Knockout and TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship.

2. Wilde defeated Awesome Kong in the $25,000 Challenge.

3. Wilde successfully defended the Knockouts Champion two times in under thirty seconds.

4. Wilde won the first ever Knockout's Monster's Ball Match by defeating Daffney.

5. Wilde and Sarita became the first ever Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

Another example of a wrestler that wasn't utilized to her full potential. Wish her luck in whatever she decides to do in the future.

Can't blame her for trying to better herself.

Interesting info, as a young woman she does have to consider her body and the impact this sport has on it, unlike men who can take a beating and keep on going and still have children; school is always a smart option, maybe she's made enough to go to school and that's all she needs. Sounds like a smart girl and not all the stuffin' was knocked out of her :)

I applaud her for wanting to further her education.

Another deep loss to the world of professional wrestling.... perhaps some school's gain..... perhaps.
