TNA No Surrender Preview

September 9th, 2007 marks the day for TNA to return to PPV with No Surrender. It has become a Kurt Angle showcase since he holds all the championships at the same time and therefore has three matches. Talk about possibly overdoing it, it's being done whether anyone likes it or not. Three official matches have been announced and there will be at least a few more before it all comes to past. Looking at them, it makes you wonder what is going on with this company. Pacman Jones is going to be involved even though he can't be touched or touch anyone. Without further or do, here are the projections for the upcoming matches.

TNA World Title-Kurt Angle© vs. Abyss

Abyss won the #1 contenders match in the Doomsday Match at Hard Justice. He is set to go to the Main Event against reigning champion Kurt Angle. Angle is coming off a victory over Samoa Joe at that same event. For months, there has been hype surrounding a new figure coming in that's going after Abyss. The name of the guy is Judas Mesisas, whom was Ricky Banderas in the ill-fated WSX and was the last champion in history. With this match, it's pretty much expected to see Kurt Angle actually retain this championship. It's just too predictable and if he doesn't keep the gold, it will be quite a surprise.

Winner and STILL TNA World Champion: Kurt Angle

TNA X-Division Title-Kurt Angle© vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

Black Machismo never lost the X-Division Championship by pinfall or submission. He got his shot by beating Christopher Daniels on Impact. Angle is now holding onto the belt even though it is rather weird. Personally, it's a ridiculous move and the smart move would be for it to be a quick run and give it to someone who belongs in the X-Division Title. This is pretty much a match that Lethal has to win because the X-Division Title needs to go back to the X-Division wrestlers. With all the focus and attention on Kurt Angle, it would be no surprise if he retained. That being said, the pick for this is to have Lethal win the championship. He has to lose at least one of the titles before the night is through.

Winner and NEW TNA X-Division Champion: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

TNA Tag Team Titles-Kurt Angle & Sting © vs. Team Pacman

Why is this match even happening? Team Pacman did nothing to earn a title shot. For those wondering who that is, it's Ron Killings and Adam Jones, whom is not allowed to get involved physically or any form of physical activity. Sting is right now his partner due to winning a 4-way match to determine who would get the other half of the tag team titles. While it is good that one person won't defend it, it doesn't make sense as far as the team is concerned. Sting is a face and Angle is a heel so how is that going to work exactly? If there is any match to not look forward to its this one because it's a no-win situation. If Angle wins, he keeps at least two of the three titles and if Team Pacman wins, you give a title to an undeserving person who shouldn't even be in TNA in the 1st place. This is just something not to look forward to but to probably continue garnering negative publicity and it's not going to help in the long run. If this is the case, Team Pacman could win but most likely Ron Killings doing all the work.

Winner and NEW TNA Tag Team Champs: Team Pacman

Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage

This is a match most likely to happen. Given that both want the title shot, it's going to come down to who moves up in the rankings. As good as Christian has been, Joe needs to move up and also stop being buried so much. Cage has yet to be officially pinned and what better time to do that than right now. He's very credible and has held the world title twice, well the NWA Title to be clear on that. It would be hard to pick against Joe but then again given how things have looked, it would be easier so it's a toss up. In the end, it'll come down who is really getting pushed more. In a wild guess, it'll be Joe to get the victory so he can rebound. Christian is still going to be looked at as a threat but he's not going to be challenging for the title anytime soon with Angle as the champ.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Tag Team Challenge-Every team involved

It sounds confusing but to best explain it, it's the way to get some new contenders for the tag team division. You got the VKM, Team 3D, MCMG, LAX, and other teams that probably will form. It's rather confusing as to what is going to happen as far as teams go. Most likely 3D won't win since they'll still be in a feud with the Steiners and might be gone after Bound for Glory. Again, that's a tough considering the fact that it's not known how many teams are in and how many are left in TNA. The Steiners are out right now at the moment until BFG until they face Team 3D in the rematch. Tough call for a winner in this one actually, would like to pick a winner but just can't. Not enough teams are known exactly as to who is in and who isn't. All that will be predicted is that Team 3D won't win the match. Just to be out of the blue and rather surprising, LAX can take the win in this one.

Winners: LAX

Kazarian vs. Robert Roode

This is a fresh match up. At least the Roode/Young feud is over and it's on to something else. It revolves around Ms. Brooks, who used to be Kazarian with he teamed with Bently. He left Serotinin and it was about time to because it was going nowhere and it made no sense to stay in the group. Roode has been nothing as of late of importance so this will be needed. It depends on who is most likely to get pushed more. Kazarian has won some but needs to keep winning to look like a challenge for the X-Division Title and then again so does Roode for the Heavyweight Division. It's a tough one but the wild guess would be Robert Roode for the win with a swerve from Ms. Brooks. In short, it means you think she'll leave him but she won't.

Winner: Robert Roode

Rhino vs. James Storm

There have been two bouts so far and Storm has won both encounters. Rhino hasn't exactly been on a hot streak as he has been getting beat just about every PPV. Not many realize this but he is a former NWA Champion but only held it for over a week on TV Time but in reality just two days. Since that point, he has gone on a major roller coaster but has been going down lower and lower. Storm is obviously going to be around for a while and will probably go somewhere if given the chance to move up so if he lost, it wouldn't hurt him so much. Most likely though, Rhino will lose again and maybe this is a punishment or something. Look for James Storm to actually win this one.

Winner: James StormThere might be another match with Black Reign aka Dustin Rhodes aka Golddust against Chris Harris but there is no guarantee for that. This PPV could hopefully be decent but given how the predictable endings have come about, it doesn't look to be that exciting. Maybe it actually will be but only time will tell. This PPV could be right in the middle actually.

  • Angle is going to be in three matches.
  • Samoa Joe seems to have dropped.
  • Team Pacman is competing even though it will be Killings doing everything
Kurt Angle is the only one to have held all 3 of the titles at the same time.
