TNA Superstar Walks Away

Spy Radio
Stevie Richards has walked away from TNA. Richards posted the following on his Twitter. "Just left Universal Studios. Had a great talk with Terry Taylor and Vince Russo about making the decision to quit TNA Wrestling. Thanks to everyone there for the past 2 years."

I don't think Richards is gone for good. Superstars take breaks all the time for various reason. If it is the last time we have seen Richards here are a few facts to remember him by.

1. His real name is Micheal Manna

2. He held the WWE Hardcore Championship 22 times.

3. He was a 2 time ECW World Tag Team Champion.

4. He competed in the first ever Eastern Championship Wrestling Match.

5. In 2008 he was hired as Chief Technology Evangelist for PhoneFusion.

He'll be back I would venture to guess.

Not too surprised about this move. Looks like TNA is getting rid of most of the former ECW guys. Richards will probably retire now, he had a good career.

I agree Zachary. For some reason I always liked Richards. Maybe being an ECW superstar hurt his chances of holding a mid-card Championship in the WWE.

    good report

Based off his work in ECW as the BWO's Big Stevie Cool, I felt Richards had the potential to be a solid upper mid carder. It would have been nice to see him have a run with the IC Title when he was still in the WWE too.
