This episode opens with Joe on the golf course missing a chip shot and yelling out loud that he sucks.

In the dealership Owen is arguing with his father about having to pull the plug on the body shop concept. Lawrence stops by and tells Owen that the servicemen are pissed at him. But what else is new?

Terry is waking up with Erin, the schoolteacher he made the commercial with ages ago.
At their daily lunch meeting they mention that Terry will be fifty soon. He tells them that they should all go away together and have a colonoscopy while they are away. Ass jokes ensue, but they all agree it is a good idea.

They are leaving for their escape and go in Joe's truck. Joe does not like the idea of anesthesia and opts out of being knocked out. They are off to Palm Springs but Terry tells Joe that they should stop off and see his father first. So they see his dad who wants to know if they are on the run after killing somebody! Dad's lady friend stops by and tells them that they are an item.
They check into the hotel and find out that it has a casino which gets Joe's juices flowing. Their tee time begins and a lady joins them to complete their foursome. As she is teeing off, they contemplate the outcomes of their colonoscopies and life in general.

Later back in their rooms, they drink the medicine they have to take and start bickering at each other. Owen leaves them to go down to shoot craps and he is on a hot streak when nature calls, Joe and Terry are at the bar watching all the girls and they also make a beeline for the elevators as all three of them pray they will make it.

At the hospital, they all change their clothes and prepare for their procedures. Terry and Owen spend the rest of the day sleeping off the anesthesia while Joe is wide awake and back at the golf course. All three get a clean bill of health.

Going to dinner they wind up in a bar fight and Joe becomes the hero when he uses his forearm as his father showed him when they stopped by to subdue the culprit. So they get thrown out of the restaurant and hit a roadside stand eating tacos. Each of them has a problem. Owen felt that the fight got some aggression out of him against his father who left the dealership in a deep dark hole. Owen expected to be heir to the throne and it is more like a sink hole. Joe continued to make bets with himself about everything he did. If he did not make the score at golf, he could not watch television and things like that. It started to drive the other guys crazy so he will be going back to Gamblers Anonymous. And Terry texted Erin all weekend and when his cell phone beeped, he thought it was her and he realized that he was in love.

The series is finished for now, but during the summer it will return. I for one, can't wait.

Starring:

Ray Romano as Joe

Andre Braugher as Owen

Scott Bakula as Terry
