To the AC Gang...

Reflecting on the past year at AC is like viewing a time-lapse video! Where did the last 12 months go? Now that we are pushing the end of December, I have spent time mulling over not the monetary worth of my success here, but the importance of my accomplishments.

There is a distinct difference for me and in the end; my significant successes at AC has everything to do with the immeasurable friendships I have established with so many captivating people in this writing community. Overdue Heartfelt Thanks to AC Veterans

If not for the constant leadership and unselfish help of some of the AC veterans, my experience here for the past 17 months could have turned out much different. I do not believe they know how much of a positive influence they have had on me over time.

Some of them include Angie Mohr, Randy thebarefoot, Jan Corn, CJ Mathis, Charlie Kuchinsky, Pam Gaulin, Rose Kitchen, Carol Bengle Gilbert, Michy, Tammy Waters and of course, my go-to-girl, Lyn Lomasi. Thanks to all of you, for providing that important guidance and support! Extra thanks to Lyn for staying up all night while we sleep! I appreciate each one of you and the AC staff as well!

Longtime and New Friends

My list of friends on AC is quite remarkable! I could fill page after page with the names of my AC Gang. The founding member of that gang is Jenny Wagner, though. From the start at AC, we stumbled upon each other, hit it off and supported each other's writing adventures...so thanks, Jennifer and congrats on your outstanding achievements in 2009!

My AC friends are like one gigantic family to me. Just some of my old friends here include Angel Vee and Angel Sharum, JP Whickson, Tony Vega, Theresa Wiza, Kim Linton, Bridgitte Williams, Ali Canary, Maria Roth, Thomas Forthe, Sherry Tomfeld, Don Pennington, Allene Bilodeau, Linda Louise Johnson, Geannie Bastian, Janet Roof, Melody Arcamo-Lagrimas, Branwen66, Memay Moore, Kim Keason, Christine Burness, Jill Viers, Sheryl Young, Angela Kaelin, Danielle Tefft, Mike Hatz, Sullivan Rose, Shana Dines, Madame Butterfly, John Smither, Dr. Jamie Marable and Kay Whittenhauer.

I know I have forgotten some and I apologize, but it is not intentional I assure you. Many thanks to all of you for the encouragement you have provided through comments, both funny and heartfelt, and the push you give me by reading even those articles that do not interest you in the least.

I also have many new friends to ring out the old year with. It is amazing how quickly friendships build at AC. I honestly feel AC has the best platform for establishing links and bonds with other writers. We can continue to assist and support each other and hopefully; in 2010 we will all grow from that positive reinforcement.

My 2009 AC Accomplishments

Somehow, I pulled off Wonder Woman feats this past year. Along with running a vibrant business at which I work 7 days a week and writing for several other sites, I also became an AC Category Editor in February and a Community Guide in July. I finally made it over the 100,000-page view hump at the start of December and that was a huge accomplishment for me.

I face the conclusion of this year a wee bit tired, but extremely grateful for all the good people I know at AC and the wonderful things I have taken part in. Here's to a fabulous 2010 and I wish each Contributor at AC many blessings in the New Year! Betty Malone...if you are watching over us, keep us on task next year okay!
