It's time to begin
to live in the light.
I'm so tired of the darkness
and the odor in here,
for I've been in here so long,
and my feathers are beginning to itch me.
Plus my wings ache so.
Oh to burst free
from these fragile boundaries of self,
to wing deep into the rays of the sun.

Great poem.
;)
"The fragile boundaries of self" make us fragile because we end up worrying too much about what other people think of us. We limit ourselves rather than bursting free. This is magnificent, Shirley!
Lovely.
