To Chance to Meet

Mary Martin
The day our eyes did chance a glance to share

Was then our hearts did know we soon would band.

Through love then felt as deep so strong so rare

Our time stood still as fate did lend a hand.

No thought no plan to meet did rule us two.

Yet meet we did by chance that day to bring

Our eyes to see the spark of life we knew

Was meant to be for us like words we sing.

A flow did drift so swift our hearts did blend.

Not two but one the beats did join in time.

As meet we did more time as one to spend

To share to know we grow as words in rhyme.

Our life we share as song not new but dear

Each day in peace and love with each so near.
