For those who are passing up on the iPhone because of its price tag, you might want to swing by a Verizon Wireless store on June 29 and pick for yourself an affordable music handset.

In a recent press release, Verizon Wireless announced that its wireless stores and kiosks will be open until 9 p.m. to give customers time to test drive the leading wireless company with the most reliable voice and data network. Though Verizon doesn't have an iPhone killer, it is offering the LG VX9400 for $99.99 after a $50 rebate with a two year contract. Verizon is also offering the latest in hot devices, if you want to pass up on the LG VX9400. Customers who buy the LG VX9400 will also receive a free Music Essentials Kit so that they can take their music with them wherever they go.

The Music Essentials Kit includes a stereo headset, a cable to transfer your music from PC to phone and a 2 GB memory card able to store up to 1,000 songs.

According to Verizon Wireless, shoppers who visit any of the Verizon Wireless stores will be able to choose from 18 different phone models that can let them search from more than two millions songs from the V CAST Music library. Customers can immediately purchase and download their favorite songs directly to their handsets, but they can also download songs from their personal library as long as the music is unprotected by using the RIP Software which they can get when they register for V Cast Music on a PC.

Aside from Music, the Verizon V Cast can also download different features that can be used on the handset, Verizon stated. A popular application is the VZ Navigator which can provide you with directions to millions of U.S. destinations using the shortest and quickest routes.

Verizon wireless phones are well within your budget. According to Verizon Wireless, most of their popular models are priced under $100 so customers can choose from a variety of models that can fit their style or lifestyle.

V Cast Music songs cost 99 cents if downloaded from a Windows XP PC and $1.99 if you downloaded the song to a V Cast Music-capable handset, the increased price is because you are downloading two copies, the other copy is sent to the customer's V CAST Music PC Account. The VZ Navigator applications will cost you $1.99 per month.
