Here let me count the ways.
There are not many husbands,
Who do as you do,
Or even how much,
On any given day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost everyday,
Give or take a few,
You are up before the roosters
Can go cock-a-doodle-do!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Down the road you go,
To the crusher and back,
Or off after vehicles,
Trying to over work your back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the house,
Yet more for you begins,
You see my husband is a 'Junk-man',
Recycling is the name of 'his' game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But what he does,
A game it is not,
He does it when it is cold,
Or when it is blazing hot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using winches, hand tools
And saw-zaws too,
Busting windows, cutting tires,
There is so much to do.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cutting up tanks,
Taking off parts,
Cutting his hands,
Oh yeah! That Smarts!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He makes time for me,
We sometimes 'do' lunch.
He takes me where I need,
Did I say he loves me a bunch?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He pays all our bills,
Makes extra money too,
Doesn't want me to work yet,
Till my college years are through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been a stay at home mom,
But back to school now I go,
Now that our kids are older teenagers,
Says minimum wage is NOT a way to grow!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He hugs me when I need one,
Or just out of the blue,
And every time he walks out the door,
He says "I LOVE YOU".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He helps me with the kids,
When I just can't take anymore,
Or when moms really sick,
Only to the grocery store, will he go out that door!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He's my rock
And he's my world,
He's my strength,
I'm one lucky gurl!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He does for me
Like no other man can
He is MINE girls,
Yeah, he is MY MAN!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He's soft and sweet,
He's tough and mean,
He balances us all,
In this point in between.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
See it's not about money,
I could care less about 'things',
Its how he makes me feel,
He's the wind beneath my wings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He lets me fly,
In my dreamland sometimes,
Bringing me back to earth,
A drop of reality at a time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He makes me laugh,
He makes me smile,
To him I cannot lie,
And for him, I would walk a thousand miles!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He does not do drugs,
But yeah he drinks,
Hardcore coffee and pepsi,
Ha! Ha! I made you think!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He's strict but sure,
Of his every move
He's a wheeler and dealer,
He's a mechanic too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He knows what he's got,
Where he's going too,
When he asks me to do things,
YES! I do what I am asked to do!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
See, he's my man,
And I love him so.
He is my husband and my life,
More than 20 years now!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's to another 20 years,
Of laughing, growing and loving so,
I love you MIKE,
And I will NEVER let you GO!
