To Be Loved
A Poem
Who look only for a career
They place business before everything else
And they never look back
or around them
To see what else is out there
But I want more
I want to taste that perfect kiss
On my tongue
To be loved
Beyond everything else
I want someone who knows me through and through
And loves me just the same
And if I have to settle for a career
and an empty house
to come home to at the end of the day
then I know something will be missing from my life
something that degrees or high paying jobs cannot buy
