i'd really like to know
she was so alive
just why did she have to go?
sweet child grew
tiny heart beat
sleeping baby beauty
in my secret deep
lovely baby feet
dancing in my womb
when did happy feet
cease to hear the tune?
baby girl and me
whisper soft kiss
living in our joy
in happy baby bliss
would her eyes be
like daddy's baby blue?
maybe long dark curls
like her mama, too?
pretty baby smile
warm, golden glow
glad you stayed awhile
why did you have to go?
why did she have to go?
i asked the universe today
i know she plays in heaven
but i wanted her to stay.
why, she never left
Love said in great surprise
she dwells within your soul
and shines out from your eyes
your tears upon his cheek
kisses from Isobella Raine
his strong arms 'round you
are shelter from the pain
sweet daddy and dear mama
i didn't want to go
but Blessed Mother held my hand
so it wouldn't hurt you so
and when you see that baby star
that's me smilin' on you
and when my little star twinkles
that's me playin' peek-a-boo

Post a CommentI literally have goosebumps after reading that. The kind you get when you hear or see something so moving that you can't help but feel the emotion. Absolutely beautifully written.
Little one, our minds ask all the hard questions, but in our heart of hearts we know He is with us all the time. Ten lepers were healed; only one turned back to give thanks to Jesus. We also give thanks for our precious little ones who are hanging around the gate, looking eagerly into the mist for us. They shall know us and we will know them. Praise God for His wonderful mercies to His children. I carry you in my arms and lift you up to Him.
Ohh, again, Marilisa, thank you for sharing such a touching story. I am now more convinced than ever that I wrote that book, Do Babies Go To Heaven for consoling others, myself, and those who will someday rejoice to see their precious ones, so young and tender, again in heaven some day. Based upon the Bible, I used it to write the book so I know it must be true. God bless you for this. I am still in tears. Blessings as you have blessed and touched my heart so dearly.
Oh my, tears are streaming down my cheeks. That was so incredibly touching and beautifully written...thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you had something in your life that could touch you so deeply, it is better to have known great love than not. We are all eventually without Gods gifts for they are not permanent her beauty was not just for you it had to be shared with heaven, you were lucky to have known this lovely baby but you will meet again.
I'm so sorry Marilisa! This is very touching.
Very touching, I'm so sorry.
Aah, baby girl, I hold you close as I rock our little ones who have gone on before us to help Jesus prepare the way for us who come later. They grace His beautiful garden of roses, irises, lilac and lillies of the valley. He holds them as He does each of His precious children safe in the palm of His hand.
Isobella Raine- such a beautiful name for her- keeping her sweet memory.
I can imagine no greater pain than losing a child. You've written a beautiful tribute.
