I hesitantly singed up a few moths ago, added a photo and my email contacts. However didn't really grasp the functionality part of this online social media tool in my mind until recently.
First, I used Twitter to broadcast my writing, but didn't see any interactivity. Hits weren't pouring in. This obviously wasn't working. My conversations were cut short as if no one was listening. If you're having the same issue, perhaps you should follow more Twitter users.
To get the most out of the Twitter experience you 1) must recruit all of your social media happy friends to join and update the network with their going on's or 2) subscribe to Twitters that post items that interest you.
Twenty three million US subscribers use Twitter every month. The majority of its users are college graduates too according to the latest graphs on Quantcast.
Twitter's user base contains within it a plethora of professionals, and yes I just used a line from the Three Amigos. Need free advice? No problem! Just search topics that you would like to know more about.
Example, as you might have noticed from my previous blogs, I enjoy incorporating feng shui principals into my home design. What better way to network with other feng shui lovers than on Twitter?
I've subscribed to some feng shui experts who graciously hand out great feng shui tips, almost on a daily basis.
In the mood for inspirational quotes? Search inspirational quotes. BAJobs even has a Twitter account and posts job opportunities as they're added. Convenient right? You can even follow some reality tv news, just to keep up with the drama jabber.
If you tailor your Twitter feed according to your interests, you'll have a quick digestible news feed.

Post a CommentI have been considering joining for some time, but did not know much about the site. Thanks for the info. :)
I mainly use it because AC auto-posts, but I'll get on once in awhile and actually talk to someone I know. I've actually had quite a few people I don't know decide to 'follow me'! Hopefully they're reading. Anyhow, good tweet ;)
