November 7th 2006 is this year's don't come out the house day. Why? Because you and I both know, that most people we happen to run into that day will ask the 5 dollar question. "Did you go and vote?" Think… think…. Do you lie and say "yea I voted already", or do you say "I'm going after work!".
Look, as a young person who is not under 20 but not over 30, I feel it is important to go out and vote. It boils down to the fact that this vote and every vote are bigger than our ego's and dislikes. Remember as kids when you had a toy and you played with all the time, and then some of the time, and then not at all. What happened? Your parents came and took it always because you were not using it anymore, and since you could not decide to throw it away your parents did it for you.
Well we the people (children of the state) will have a vote privilege taken away, if the federal legislature (Parents), chooses for us that we don't need it since we don't use. I know it is a pain to find time and go, but go. Even if you think your vote will not count, believe me it will. It count's for the right to vote in the future, It counts for your children's right to vote after we die.
Look, I know many of you have kids, and even though I only have one who is only a year old now. I want my child to be able to vote, pass laws, and say "no I don't want this law". If we stop participating, the bureaucrats will move in our lives even further and tell us how to live our lives. Case in point, I don't smoke and don't know many people that do, but it is crazy to me to ban smoking outside, inside a restaurants ok I feel you on that one. But, if it is a outside café how can you ban smoking outside, if that is the case you might as well ban flatulence too, that gives off a bad smell, and I am sure if you inhale it long enough it will corrode your lungs too.
Bottom line is this. When you think about voting, think about your children, think about other peoples children. Think about those toys you wanted to keep but your parents said no, all because you stopped using them, so the privilege was taken away.

Post a CommentWell Said, thank you for commenting
I have previously expressed my opinion that we all vote. Those of us who do not bother to get to the polls merely are giving their vote, by proxy, to the radical core who, you van be sure, will get off their posteriors and vote.
