A Friendly Valentine Poem
One of those is Will Stape. We share a love for movies and television and anything sci-fi related. He has become a dear friend of mine and a true inspiration.
I always look forward to our conversations. They make my day and remind me that I DO have something to say. You bring out the best in me and that is what friendships are supposed to do.
I thought of sending you a sappy Valentine card but then decided I'd write you a poem instead. You'll be thought of, Will, on that and every other day!
When I think of you
Which is all the time
I smile to myself;
Laughter starts to climb.
.
Some friends come and go.
Others never stay.
If you blink your eyes
They have gone away.
But some friends - like you
Really touch the heart;
Reach inside the soul
And become a part.
They're the ones that know
Who you really are.
They like you that way.
To them you're a star!
They are a soul mate;
Of friendship that's true
And for me, dear friend,
That soul mate is you!
