Tobacco or Marijuana Which is Worse?

Pasiley
Smoking marijuana is something some people do on a daily basis, and they claim it is no worse then smoking a cigarette. I am not a pot smoker, and I do think the claim of marijuana to be less risky than a cigarette is very bogus.

Sure, cigarettes cause cancer, but so does marijuana, according to Paranoia's web site.

The Youqa web site that states Bob Denver and George Harrison both died from a cancer that was caused by them smoking marijuana. We all know that regular tobacco as well causes cancer that people can die from as well.

There is another side effect from smoking pot which is smoking marijuana does diminish intellectual abilities. We have all seen the burn outs who have been smoking pot since high school on a regular basis. Marijuana does not make all habitual users walk around acting as if they are impaired, some users do not appear as thought they have been using.

Marijuana has been known to make those mentally ill people who do smoke it have symptoms that are more apparent. Those mentally ill users have more documented cases of hallucinations then mentally ill patients who do not partake of this drug. No one has reported hallucinations from smoking a cigarette.

You may have heard the myth that a joint is not as bad as a cigarette. Marijuana Health Mythology says that marijuana gives a smoker 4 times the carcinogenic tar as cigarettes. This is because a joint has no filter, but if you were to smoke a non-filtered cigarette, I am sure it has just about as much carcinogenic tars as a joint would.

The report also says that pot smokers have a thirty percent increased risk of injuries, but this is most likely because they are living on an impaired mental status. The impaired mental functioning also leads to short-term memory and concentration, which clouds the judgment so the pot smokers take some risky chances that they would not make if they were not high.

The myth about pot smoking being bad for a growing fetus is just that a myth. There is not evidence that pot hurts an unborn baby. There is plenty of evidence that tobacco, alcohol, and cocaine do hurt a baby. This is not to say that the baby of a marijuana smoker is free of risk, because as we all know pot does impair the thinking capabilities of users.
