Traditionally the chewing tobacco flavor known as straight is close to that of black licorice. Kodiak Long Cut Straight has a smooth, mellow licorice flavor that lasts throughout the chew. For me the long lasting flavor is one of the best qualities of the Kodiak brand.

Kodiak Long Cut chewing tobacco is one of the higher quality brands that you can buy and part of that quality is due to the texture. The tobacco is more moist than most chewing tobaccos and the texture is a bit thicker than other brands of chewing tobacco. The texture of Kodiak Long Cut allows it to stay together in your mouth longer than many of its competitors.
Kodiak Long Cut Straight Pro's
Probably the most important pro for Kodiak Long Cut Straight chewing tobacco is the long lasting flavor. This flavor combined with the thick, moist texture that stays together throughout the chew takes Kodiak Long Cut Straight chewing tobacco to the top of the chewing tobacco list.
One other superior quality of the Kodiak brand is the can that the tobacco is sold in. The seal around the cap is the tightest seal that I have encountered with chewing tobacco. The tight seal keeps in the moisture of the chew allowing it to stay fresher longer.

Due to the moistness of Kodiak chew it tends to ball up in the can which can make it a bit difficult to get a proper sized chew. When you remove a pinch of tobacco it can take a while to get one that is neither to large nor too small.

I would recommend Kodiak Long Cut Straight chew to a consumer who enjoys both the flavor of straight chewing tobacco and the experience of a long lasting moist chewing tobacco.
